High Tea Experience
Tea Time is a tradition dating back to the 17th Century. If you’re new to High Tea and worried about etiquette – “Do I raise a pinky when sipping my tea? Are finger sandwiches really eaten with my fingers?” – no worries; you’re not alone. We serve a more whimsical and unpretentious tea experience than you might expect. We are excited you’ll be joining us for tea at the Mad Hatter!
Our Tea Experience is available various dates and times throughout the month by pre-purchased tickets only. Visit the “Purchase Tea Tickets” button to find the date you want and purchase your tickets, or order takeout if you wish to enjoy High Tea in the comfort of your home.
How to Purchase Tickets to High Tea
Before Attending High Tea
Important Things to Know:
- Non-refundable prepurchased tickets are required.
- For parties of 6 or more, call 763.422.4160 for assistance in purchasing your tickets.
- Maximum party size is 10. For parties of 11 or more, book a Private Event.
- This is a preset menu. No substitutions, please. The ticket purchasing process will allow you to choose if you need gluten-friendly, vegetarian, and nut allergy options. You will be asked to select number of guests, date, and time. Once availability is checked, you will select your menu options.
- Dress Code: Clothing must be tasteful, and it is unquestionably preferable to err on the side of being overdressed rather than underdressed.
- Expect approximately 1.5 hours at the table for your tea experience.
- Prices & Menus change seasonally.

Our Tea Experience is available every Thursday through Sunday by Purchased Tickets only. Seating times vary, so please check our online ticketing service for availability by clicking the “Buy Tea Tickets” button. Please allow a minimum of 24 hour advanced notice. In many cases, our seating is fully ticketed weeks in advance.
Cheshire Children’s Tea
Menus are seasonal and subject to change.
We offer a curiously delightful Cheshire Tea Experience for ages 10 & under. You will be served a child-friendly tea experience which includes scone, fruit, finger sandwiches, a sweet treat, a Teapot of Princess/Prince Tea (raspberry lemonade), and a special memento to take home!

Celebrate Her True Beauty: A Mother-Daughter 8 Great Dates High Tea Experience
It is with great pleasure that we introduce a brand-new experience at The Mad Hatter, inspired by the heartfelt requests of our local church community! We are thrilled to announce our Special Occasion Mother-Daughter High Tea, uniquely designed to pair perfectly with Dannah Gresh’s celebrated book, 8 Great Dates for Moms and Daughters.
This exclusive package is tailored specifically to complement the book’s first date: “Your Beauty in God’s Eyes.” We have created a serene, elegant backdrop for you to pause, connect, and remind your daughter of her true beauty and worth.
The Experience
Your time together will feature a beautifully set table complete with fine china place settings, polished silverware, elegant linens, and fresh flowers. You and your daughter will be served a beautifully curated High Tea, which includes:
- Scones accompanied by jam, sweet cream, and lemon curd
- An assortment of delicate tea sandwiches and delectable petite desserts
Unlimited tea is served in a beautiful china teapot

Alice’s Tea Party
Menus are seasonal and subject to change.
Come enjoy our Alice’s Tea Party on our beautiful screened porch. We will have a luxury table and lounging area for you and your guests along with a delectable menu which includes our Queen of Hearts High Tea menu along with optional delectable nibbles.
This is a weather permitting Tea Party as we do not have inside seating available for Alice’s Tea Party.
Annual Mother’s Day and Christmas High Tea Experiences
For 25 years, The Mad Hatter has been delighting guests with special annual event tea experiences including our popular Mother’s Day and Christmas teas. Step into a magical realm of High Tea, served in the whimsical style of The Mad Hatter, during the holidays. Enjoy our holiday teas featuring a special Four Course menu and endless tea, and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Come as friends and leave as part of our cherished tea family!
